Is there a reason to think Hening's camera is saving significantly nonlinear
results in the raw file?

It would depend a great deal on how much flare / glare / etc. he's got and how
much he wants to compensate for -- including the question of if this is a
general-purpose profile or one for copy work or what.

But I think it's pretty important to also plot the xicclu graph and ask if
the resulting curves make sense.

Agreed!
