I just bought a ColorMunki Photo instrument and
tried to follow the tutorials. The manual says
that I have to calibrate the instrument each
time before using it, but I can't figure out,
how to do this with argyll. When I try to read
the current settings:
$ dispcal -v -d1 -c1 -R
Argyll 'V1.8.3' Build 'Linux 64 bit' System
'Linux #1 SMP Debian 4.1.6-1 (2015-08-23) 4.1.0-2-amd64 x86_64'
Setting up the instrument
Instrument Type: ColorMunki
Serial Number: 2077186
Firmware version: 288
Chip ID: 01-3B4061170000EE
Version string: 'colormunki FW V1.32 Build Nr. 1303'
Calibration Ver.: 6
Production No.: 140410
Set instrument sensor to calibration position,
and then hit any key to continue,
or hit Esc or Q to abort:
A gray rectangle appears on the screen. Now I
can hit any key as often as I want, I only get
the repetition of the last three lines. When I
hit Esc, I get:
Calibrate failed with 'User hit Abort Key' (No
device error) The instrument can be removed
from the screen. dispcal: Error - new_disprd()
failed with 'Instrument Access Failed'
I tried it on a Windows Box with the
original software, and there, at least the most
basic operation, it worked OK. What can I do to
make it work with Linux?
