-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA256 Hi, I've just started to use color management (big thank you to the Argyll developers!) and switching my photography to RAW pictures (using Bibble Pro and The GIMP under Linux). As I want to get the best pictures for my money that I send to an online Lab for development I want to send them some test pictures to figure out their quality. The Lab I want to try claims to use a fully color managed process and that they can handle pictures that aren't using the default sRGB color space. I was thinking of a picture with a pattern like the IT8.7/2 chart. Then I want to send this chart in a few versions: one in a very big color space (which? ProPhoto?) where the RGB values cover the full range (0 - 255), so that I can see the abilities of the lab and their paper. The other charts in the usual sRGB, AdobeRGB and perhaps a "strange" color space (which?) where the RGB values should be adjusted so that the resulting pictures should look the same when the lab's color management is working correctly. Does this make sense? (I'm still quite new in the color management stuff...) How can I create these test pictures? (Alternative: I've got already a chart that covers the full RGB value range, how do I apply a color space without changing the RGB values? And what's the correct way of converting it to the different color spaces so that it should look the same using a color management aware process?)
