[argyllcms] Re: Spotread throws error while calibrating SpectroscanT transmissive

A belated update, as Freelists was down here a few days ago... Graeme's most recent Spotread fix is now working fine for me with the Spectroscan T in transmissive mode.

I have made several hundred good transmissive readings. Spotread can be a bit fragile, that is it bombed and locked-up the Dos box if I hit enter before the data just read was written to the screen. Since this was due to my impatience, I can accept some responsibility. Perhaps it is a Serial com handshaking issue, as I am running with 'no handshaking' .This is a HARD bomb, as I can't close/terminate/stop/shutdown the Dos box, nothing worked short of a reboot. After that bomb sometimes I had to delete the Prolific USB -> Serial registry entry to get that port working again... such is Windows. Even with this Argyll lock-up, the data measured prior to the lock-up is saved to the data file.

So, Argyll is now measuring the transmissive data I need. Hats off to Graeme for writing code for this spectrophotometer that he doesn't own!

Graeme,

Your just edited spotread fixed the time-out, now I'm on to a wrong mode error -

Got 'Wrong Configuration' (SpectroScanT reflection command
in transmission

mode)
 error.

Hi,
        thanks for the debug output.
I'm not sure why I didn't notice this
particular problem.

See how you go with
