Hi ! I have use a thing like this to spectroscan / -lino on XP, wista, whiout any kind of problem. Not test on W7. http://www.aten.com/products/productItem.php?pcid=20050107104554001&psid=20050117102915002&pid=2005022316346005 ATEN RS232 --- Argyll works perfect, just one thing, orintate the printed patch in the same way as the lining on the spectroscan, if you use a smaller saqmple and put it on the outher way , 90deg rot, there is some bug in the movments computing. One fast way to check is to use Logo color lab, http://www.softpedia.com/get/Internet/WEB-Design/Web-Design-related/LOGO-ColorLab.shtml and whit this open the ti1 or ti2 file, and also open the ti3 file and just look as they¨ seems to bee ok, of course the color will differ, but they should looks likely. --- It was some problem whit my spectr.., it was solved whit an update downloded from x-rite togtheter whit a program for this, both spectrolinon and spscn nedd to bee updated. --- The hardest thing is to learn to love the sound. //Magnus 2011/5/1 Vittorio Villani <vittoriovillani@xxxxxxxxxxx> > Hi all. > On my Windows 7 based PC I have only USB ports, and some free PCI slots > free on the motherboard. > > I would like to have some suggestion about what adapter to buy (if possible > USB, so that I can use it on different computers) to make the Spectroscan > and the Spectrolino work. > I will also appreciate any suggestion about this instruments and Windows 7 > in general (what software will work, I only know Argyll; how to use it to > have the best results; any link; etc). > Thanks. > Vittorio > > > -- Magnus Wallden Klockarevägen 29 331 52 Värnamo +46 (0) 370 10478 +46 (0)703 33 45 19 magnus.wallden@xxxxxxxxx
