True of the X-Rite i1d3, but not of all the other L2F based domestic
colorimeters such as the i1d1, i1d2, Spyders etc., all of which
have poor resolution at low levels, and are quite slow. They
certainly don't have a greater light collection area than the
sensors in a spectral instrument. i1d3 is different in that
it has a large lens to increase the sensitivity by a factor
of about 5.
