I also prepared an Argyll package which I uploaded to Debian
(experimental for now). It's not been approved yet, so it's not on
the mirrors, but when it is Ubuntu will probably sync it from there.
In the meantime, interested people can grab the package at
http://people.debian.org/~lolando/debian/experimental/
