Sadly not - it just has an eighth-inch circle "eye" that has to be
placed by hand on each patch. I think I can make this process a fair
bit easier by printing some cross-hairs on a piece of OHP film and
mounting it underneath the device, with a hole for the eye in the centre.
I know, even with 60 patches it can do wonder!

It depends how general Argyll's model is. I'm assuming the fact that it
can adjust the patches based on the non-linearity measured in an
existing profile means that the sampled data points don't have to be
equally spread. The questions is, do they have to be some kind of
n-dimensional grid, or can they truly be scattered data points?
