That is the symptom associated with a defective HueyPro design/manufacture. Go to the Pantone website and fill out the form to see if your serial number is affected. If so, they will send you a new unit. (I was under the delusion for the past two years that "purplish" was normal!) It took them 3-4 weeks to send mine, as I remember. By that time I had purchased a ColorMunki. --Bruce _____ From: argyllcms-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:argyllcms-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Tom Dickson Sent: Tuesday, February 09, 2010 5:49 PM To: argyllcms@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [argyllcms] Purplish calibration results on Mac OS X Mac Book Pro? I have run the commands as described on the tutorial; they worked perfectly in Linux. But when I try to use the with my Huey PRO on Mac OS X 10.6 on a Mac Book Pro, I get a result that makes certain blues look purple. This is similar to the result I get if I use the Huey software; but the same calibrator works fine on my Linux box. What are my options? Should I install Linux simply to get a .icc profile? -tom
