The Argyll documentation says that Synthread:

"Simulates the measurement of a device's response using a synthetic device
model. This is intended for testing of profile creation accuracy."

I would really like to know more about this.

I've tried the following commands:

synthread -v -l iPF6400-Canson-Baryta-310-Argyll-2584-copy
colverify -v2 -N -k -s -w -x iPF6400-Canson-Baryta-310-Argyll-2584-copy.ti3
iPF6400-Canson-Baryta-310-Argyll-2584.ti3 > SynthCompare.txt

and although the results are interesting, I:
a) don't know if I'm using the commands correctly, and
b) I don't know how to interpret the values

For example, does synthread give the Lab values of the target spot colors
and so is the comparison between the measured values and the 'raw' values?

I would appreciate some guidance!

Robert
