The reason for the -no -ni -np parameters is that, according to an expert that I have asked for some suggestions using colprof, this gives better gradients. Withoud this 3 options he got steps in many gradients. So I just followed his suggestion. If you have never tried with that parameters try them and let me know what do you think about it.
Or worse gradients. It's probably not wise to set options for no particular reason. Try it without such options first, and then use options to change defaults when there is a reason to do so. It's also far more useful in the long run to report such problems too, rather than finding a workaround and then never have the problem looked at. Graeme Gill.
