It looks like DCRAW, despite not getting updates in the past couple years,
still belongs on the short list. (But does DCRAW do floating point math
yet?) Also Andrey Tverdokhleb's RPP, though it’s not been updated since
2014. I’ll be using an M1 MacBook Air, so it’d be nice to at least have
hope for native ARM support.
I’m willing to consider commercial MacOS options…but money is very tight
right now. A “poor starving student”-compatible price would a requirement.
(And I am, indeed, a graduate student now and for the next couple years.)
Any suggestions?

P.S. This’ll be for Canon 5Ds and 5DIII cameras, plenty old enough that I
expect anything out there worth considering will support them. b&
