I'm working on a new version of a camera profiling chart. Once again, as many patches as I can manage will be painted (or other) samples, and I'm also again planning on filling out the remainder of the space on the chart with patches printed on an iPF8100. Worst case, I can simply generate a set of patches with targen with default parameters and assign the printer's profile to it. But it seems to me that I should be able to do better, and to evenly distribute the patches in perceptual space within the printer's gamut. Thing is, I'm not exactly sure how to do that.
