To add another thought, it's possible that those using a poor workflow
with no mapping of the transfer curve (i.e. using colorimetric type
mappings) see an improvement when using standard idealized RGB source
profiles with a polarized measurement matt paper profile due to
the better match of the black points. i.e. - two wrongs cancelling
each other out to some degree.
