Hi !

I normally use Photoprint ( from Alastair M. Robinson,
http://www.blackfiveimaging.co.uk/ )
in "best" mode, what gives a wery good printing, also wery slow.
Colorspace Cmyk.

Argyll process:

creating profing taget:
targen -v -d4 -G -g64 -f <number of patches> <name>
printtarg -v -h -iSS -t -pA4 <name>

It is normally read whit a Spectroscan, chartread,
filter setting glossy media: Filter "No filter"
and for mate fine art media and mate media often Filter "Pol".

( this "ignor" a "hairy" surface, if this is the absolute tru, I dont know,
but it gives
a better result )

------
Result:

A profile made from ca 500 patches gives print that looks ok at the first
glance,
the color and gray seems to bee ok, but the lightness resolution is not so
good.
No color cast.

About 1000 paches, this feels as the magic point, now very much
better resolution specially in dark areas.

Ca 2300 patches, this is close to what I can put on two A4 or one A3, now
sligthly better. ( The manual say --more than 3000 paches for a high end
.... )
Wery good printing result.
