Hello,My cheap CRT is dead. I used ArgyllCMS and the Spyder 2 to calibrate and profile it. Patch readings were slow but calibration and profiling were easy and I was happy with the results.
Now I own a LCD monitor and it's not easy to get good result.I reset the monitor to the factory defaults and only decrease brightness to a reasonable setting for my eyes. Then I go to the color menu to look at the R,G,B channels (gain). They are all set the same value. Offset is 0 for R,G, and B. With dispcal I only decreased the green channel (gain) to get closer to the white point.
Black is not black. What am I doing wrong ? Sorry my english is bad. Thank you.
