Hmm... Yes Illustrator Mac barfs on it three different ways depending on
whether Open or Place is used in CMYK or RGB mode plus error msgs about
"round-trip to Tiny" which the webz say is an SVG subset for mobile.

Re Adobe, as we all know, the interwebz were invented by Microsoft for the
purposes of selling anti-malware products... It took awhile for Adobe (and
Apple) to receive the Master's wisdom, but these days it's fair to assume
Adobe will be compatible with Adobe and the rest of the world can go to ,,,
Something something "embrace, extend, extinguish"

Anyway, if you just use the PNG provided on Wikipedia, I have seen that
Inkscape produces pretty much the same thing..

Try assigning different profiles and watching what your display does with
it, and compare with common image color spaces.

I can open in linux Inkscape it renders a proper-looking gradient.

Adobe PS renders tiles.

This is fine, the file handling is academic.

Does anyone have an opinion on the color?

I had the chance of “opening” up the SVG file using Adobe Illustrator and
it came out as a mosaic of “color squares”.
