Nope. Because the image is represented by device values, then it inherently
remains within the device gamut as defined by any profile you assign to it.
To do the sort of thing you want, you would have to convert the image into
device
independent (i.e. XYZ related) representation using the large gamut profile, and
then you could make a comparison to some other gamut, such as sRGB.
Or (say using tiffgamut), create a gamut hull from the raster tagged with the
larger
gamut profile, and then compare that to the gamut of the smaller profile.
