But the fact is - you don't need saturated pixels. What you
need is green pixels close to saturated. However using a
different source of light is wrong. Flashes, even of the
same model, are not spectrally equal. Look at the Babel
WhiteWatch, that is as close to optimal for white as it is
practical.
