Thank's for your enlightening replies.

I  was just puzzled by the lack of consistency in the ICC specs relative to
DLPs. I realize that the last character in the tag name "usually" denotes
rendering intent. But in the case of DLP, it is clear that the character
does not need to denote the RI, although I still believe it should.
