The double scan is because it makes a separate UV pass before combining the
two passes. In M2 it simply turns the UV LED off.
There's no technical reason why the iSis 1 couldn't compute M1 - I'm not sure
why X-rite would choose not to do so, since it just involves a different
weighting of the UV and non-UV measurement passes.
