Dear ArgyllCMS Developers,
I am using a Lumagen Radience to correct the colour on my (rather old)
The Lumagen that I am using offers a 21 point grayscale curve and a 125 (5x5)
I have successfully used HCFR to manually tune the grayscale cure (only 11
points) and dispcalgui to create a 125 point colour card set and to generate
the 3d LUT.
I have written some simple bash scripts that allow me to use the -C option in
order to get the Lumagen to generate test patterns. And a script that allows me
to write the LUT (generated by ArgyllCMS) to the Lumagen.
At the moment I'm using a Spyder 2, however, I'm thinking of buying an i1
display pro if I can fully sceipt the calibration procedure with ArgyllCMS.
My main question is... can I get ArgyllCMS to generate the grayscale
calibration data for me?
...and then the 3d LUT? Is this good/best practice?
I'm new to all of this so any advice would be great. At the moment I'm not sure
if I should be using relative calorimetric or perceptual etc. I'm guessing I
should be aiming for rec 709? I would probably like to configure a couple of
different gamma options.
