The only way to leave brightness alone in a calibration situation as yours is to increase maximum blue luminance. Since that is not possible, because your panel is somewhat worn-out, then the only way to obtain D65 white point chromaticities is by lower a combination of max blue and red luminance, either in hardware or in software. Hello, ... Is there any way I can change some combination of dispcal options, so that the calibration does not reduce the maximum white brightness? (I don't expect the end points of the RGB calibration points to all meet in one point, of course.) E.g. do I specify simply a target maximum brightness, or is there a combination of parameters I have to juggle?
