Another comment :- having a single light source direction will be fine for
smooth
colored surfaces (this is what the ColorMunki spectro does), but something
like the i1Pro and other more expensive instruments use a ring mirror to
illuminate at 45 degrees from all directions. This eliminates dependence on
the orientation of the instrument when measuring textured surfaces.
