Any hardware will work, if you avoid something which is on the market
for less than 4 months (except Intel, since they usually sent samples
to distributions like us).

Frédéric already gave you an hint. Most distributions allows to
"chain" multiple grub boot configurations (we are still working on
fixing this for next Mandriva 2008.1).
