It seems that was it!

I have just generated a .cal file with 1.1.0 RC1, and now gamma is 2.2:

./dispcal -v -r -yc -P 0.5,0.5,1.0
XRandR 1.2 is faulty - falling back to older extensions
Setting up the instrument
Place instrument on test window.
Hit Esc, ^C or Q to give up, any other key to continue:
patch 3 of 3
Current calibration response:
Black level = 0.21 cd/m^2
White level = 87.66 cd/m^2
Aprox. gamma = 2.21
Contrast ratio = 423:1
White chromaticity coordinates 0.3130, 0.3295
White Correlated Color Temperature = 6483K, DE 2K to locus = 4.7
White Correlated Daylight Temperature = 6484K, DE 2K to locus = 0.2
White Visual Color Temperature = 6315K, DE 2K to locus = 4.6
White Visual Daylight Temperature = 6478K, DE 2K to locus = 0.2
The instrument can be removed from the screen.

Now contrast ratio is really low (compared with ~1000 I get with windows
profiles), but it might be because I'm trying 1.1.0 remotely without touching
monitor controls and not measuring ambient light....

Will try this afternoon from home, and tell you...

Thank you very much for your help.

PS Waiting for 1.1.0 in Debian ;)
