Hi, Graeme!
All is OK with DTP41 after a simple factory reset command. It seems that
sometimes old devices need it. X-Rite still has some technical pages and FAQ
for this old one, though some of links had broken by the time. Usefull are next
ones:
FAQ top page: https://xritephoto.com/ph_product_overview.aspx?ID=274
Reset by a button:

ToolCrib service software:

Device commands:

Thank you again!

Argyll problem directly
Thank you, Graeme! We’ll check all noted cases this evening. The screwdriver is
ready!

Hi,
We have DTP-41 that was workable, but doesn’t scan print target now. Eitherif it's a mechanical problem (i.e. it doesn't drive the target properly),
it scans
the first patch or nothing at all. It seems that it caught
drives/sensors/firmware
problem. Have anybody met this and is it curable?
then a clean of the drive wheels may fix it. If the motor doesn't
turn then maybe something is jamming it, or the mechanics have seized up
and they need cleaning & re-lubricating.
If it drives the strip though but doesn't recognize it or scan it
properly, then maybe the optics needs a clean or the lamp has failed.
You may be out of luck in fixing the lamp, unless you are able to source
a replacement from somewhere.
Cheers,
Graeme Gill.
