Sorry if this has been asked before.In addition to ArgyllCms colprof, I also use X-Rite's ProfileMakerPro 5.x to generate printer profiles from the i1iSis scanner.
(BTW: the workflow involves ColorPort 2.0.5 to control the scanner, per your earlier very helpful suggestion. Thx! )
My observation is that PMP V4 profiles are a bit more accurate that V2 profiles, at least in terms of avg. De2K values from validation test-patch-charts.
For almost all of the V4 profiles, iccgamut had the error: iccgamut: Error - 1, icmHeader_read: ICC V4 not supported!Am I doing something wrong? Is there a work-around to get iccgamut to work with V4 profiles?
However, I think there might have been one printer profile made by PMP with V4 that iccgamut would handle. See attached. I'll look closer to see if it was a V2 profile. However, it was made in a batch at almost the same time as other V4 profiles, using the same PMP preferences.
