I've been meaning for a while to explore using colprof's -p parameter to

I'd like to be able to do is restrict the effect of the abstract profile

Better yet would be the ability to apply a separate abstract profile to
each table.

What do you think?

Seems doable. This will be in V1.2.0

Incidentally, when using colprof's -p parameter is the abstract profile
applied before or after the gamut mapping?

After gamut mapping. The gamut mapping doesn't take the abstract profile into
account though, so the gamut mapping won't be accurate.
