[argyllcms] EyeOne can't connect to Mac

On Intel Mac 10.6.6 Argyll v1.3.2  having problem getting brand new i1Pro Rev.D 
connected in chartread or spotread with following error 
spotread: Error - Configuring USB port 'usb:/bus26/dev5/ (GretagMacbeth i1 
Pro)' to 1 failed with -4 (No such device (it may have been disconnected))
or after switching ports:
chartread: Error - Configuring USB port 'usb:/bus29/dev2/ (GretagMacbeth i1 
Pro)' to 1 failed with -4 (No such device (it may have been disconnected))

Have tried 2 USB ports, one on computer, other in powered USB hub. Works OK 
with XRite apps, which are not running at same time as Argyll.  Argyll worked 
well with old DTP41 for several months.
i!Pro works well on old G4 PowerBook, without errors. The G4 also has had the 
XRite apps running.
