Ok, maybe I don't notice a lightening of the black point like in your case because my screen's black level is higher to begin with (mine ~0.23 cd/m2 <-> yours ~0.17 cd/m2). Using -qv also affects curve shape quite strongly, so you may want to try -ql instead.
