Is there by any chance a way to create a profile using Argyll to do
something like this below?
If it helps, I'm on a Window 10 system and I would like to create a somekind
of profile that convert a monochrome image, say only L* is useful to another
set of LAB values where now these are colors. The purpose of such a
conversion is to produce a "colored" negative to be used in a photographic
process.
In other words, I have an original 16 bit B&W image and I want to convert
the tonal range to some RGB values such that when printed on a clear media
this "negative" would reproduce the original image with a tonal range as
large as possible.
I understand I could use Argyll to profile the negative itself basically but
now the next step would be to "choose" colors for the density they provide
for the photographic process. Any suggestion how to create such a profile?
Another question that comes to mind, is there as way to view the values
measured by the instrument as text maybe?
