Not to mention Argyll's dispwin. X11 is a network protocol, and it's the
profile associated with the display (read X11 server) that counts. The X11
client (read application) may not even have access to the display profile in
any other way other than by using the X11 protocol (ie. by reading the display
ICC profile atom.)
