My understanding is that both are colorimeters and not spectrophotometers. Presumably they are tuned in some manner of wide gamut displays but may need additional software for the future. If they are tuned, one would wonder about their performance on a normal display. -----Original Message----- From: argyllcms-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:argyllcms-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Rishi Sanyal Sent: Tuesday, June 21, 2011 4:13 PM To: argyllcms@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [argyllcms] Re: Dell U2711 - is it any good? I'd be curious to know of what changed in the new X-Rite ColorMunki Display & i1 Display models introduced today. X-Rite claims these are good for wide-gamut displays, as well as 'future' technologies. How? -Rishi
