Was Python 2 in your list of dependencies, or were you trying to use
Python 3 while compiling the dependencies? I'd start with 2 if I just
wanted to get things work.
If you did use Python 2, then what's exactly the problem with
API-incompatibility? Shouldn't wxPython of appropriate version be in
your list of dependencies?

Regardless, I think this Python 2 dependency should be reported at
DisplayCAL issue tracker—if it hasn't been yet—since more and more
distributions will be ditching it.


Thankfully, adjusting to using the command-line ArgyllCMS programs has
been a breeze with the help of the wonderful tutorials
(https://www.argyllcms.com/doc/Scenarios.html).

Thanks for the great software! Just curious about how other people are
adjusting to changing versions.
