It works exactly as you describe.
Make the editing of your file and make sure that the same edits are applied
to the charts.
The profiler then extracts the edits and creates a Devicelink (if the edits
are in RGB or CMYK) or an abstract (for the Lab edits).

I'm looking for an as simple way as possible to create an abstract or a
edits to it as on your original and from this edited reference file, extract
I assume one would need to create some reference file, apply the same
suggestion on how to proceed, I'm a newbie at this.
Any idea if something like this can be easily done using Argyll tools? Any
