Alexey - Many thanks for taking the time to do this. It does give me a file
that works with spec2cie and that I can experiment with. Most helpful.

yes, you need to use the tools in the other order. Use spec2cie on
the reference
data (.cgt), and then use the resulting CIE values with scanin.
