Yes - when you use -qh and can't see any difference, you don't need to use it :-) To put it another way, it depends on the device behaviour. But you won't know the device behaviour until you've measured it and tried to model it. So you won't know until you try the different options on a particular device. You will know this the next time you want to profile that device, or if you are profiling a similar device. Graeme Gill.
