Hi,
Yes Gutenprint driver make all adjustments and let me use color profile
with Uncorrected option..
As I wrote I made a profile for FWA with an OBA Epson paper.
I used
colprof -qh -f -i D50
What do occur about color chain ( working profile+printer profile )
conversion if I use an other illuminant (e.g. one custom by illumeread)?
I read ICC profiles have all D50 as reference illuminant..and I'm a lot
confuse what occur in this case...
Cheers

Hi,
I think I can't drive the printer with CMYK, GIMP doesn't work withCMYK..
Hmm.
How Robert from Gutenprint mailist told me I adjusted density intoGutenprint GUI..the
main density for CMYK ( there are the single channel density too )
Right, if Gutenprint is converting from RGB to CMYK, then you need to
setup for
a particular paper by altering the CMYK parameter values (maximums, dot
gain
compensation, light ink crossovers, totals etc.)
Sorry I can't help you with specifics, since I don't know much about the
Gutenprint internals.
If the device was being driven in CMYK and the print driver/RIP didn't have
paper setup controls itself (i.e. if it was a raw printer driver), then I
would
use ArgyllCMS printcal to setup for the specific paper (dot gain
compensation
and per channel maximum %), together with setting a total ink limit in the
CMYK ICC profile creation.

Graeme Gill.
