Hi,

when starting chartread this error message comes. What do I have to adjust in printtarg so that the procedure is correct?
*Warning: chart is for GretagMacbeth i1 Pro, using instrument X-Rite i1 Pro 2*

since the i1Pro 2 has the same chart requirements as the i1Pro 1, there is
nothing to correct.

Further i tried to check the printer accuracy with own color fields in
photoshop via Lab.
I choose colors within the printer's gamut and print absolut colorimetric. The consistency seems to be right, the colors are every time very similar. But I get a deltaE to photoshop Lab values of >4.
Does someone have an idea what the error is?

I'm not entirely clear on your workflow in this scenario, but an
important aspect is whether the L*a*b* value measurement and
printing conditions match. For instance, 3 out of the
4 intents are paper white relative, whereas a typical L*a*b*
measurement is absolute (i.e. relative to 100% reflectance).
Perceptual and Saturation intents will intentionally modify
color values to perform gamut mapping.

i.e. given the device values printed, the predicted L*a*b*
printed values are given by the Absolute Colorimetric intent
conversion. Default application L*a*b* are likely to be
Relative Colorimetric.

Cheers,
