Hi,
I'm inquiring to see whether it is possible to use Argyll to calculate delta
E values for
a set of measurements that were made on a display.
Yes. colverify can do this.
I have the resulting XYZ data from the probe for each patch and the original,
reference
patch value. This small data set includes a white point read, so we do have
the system
white point.
It needs to be in a CGATS format for colverify to process it.
Should I manually create a .ti1 file that resembles the list of patches and
then a .ti3
file that resembles the profile data, and then read that into colverify ?
You just need the equivalent of the .ti3 file, and colverify is deliberately
generous in what it expects. It doesn't really care what the file signature is,
it just needs to see XYZ or L*a*b* or (ArgyllCMS style) spectral fields, and
have
matching SAMPLE_ID or SAMPLE_LOC (-l flag) fields.
Hope that helps,
Graeme Gill.
