I would like to create a (device) link profile with only Calibration curve
(.cal) in it - no color management. The reason is some DFE/RIPs do not allow to
import 1-D correction curves, but accept device link profile instead,
therefore, it is a way to apply calibration file to the printing device. (it
Basically, I would like to generate something like this:
collink -v -qm -a file.cal dlp1.icc
Every time I try, I am asked to have the input and output profile, I tried to
use the same as Input/Output but still get small variations after the profile
is created, hence it will not be a perfect .cal file embedded into a Device
If Input/output ICC Profiles are required, then I would probably need to find a
way to generate the link profile which would be perfectly linear (input data =
output data) + .cal on top of it.
I tried the following with no luck:
collink -v -qm -s -ir -or -n -a file.cal eciCMYK.icc eciCMYK.icc dlpv1.icc
Is it technically possible to do with Argyll? if so, what I am missing?
Thank you very much in advance.
