Yes, it doesn't seem to be intended to average the spectral data,
unless that is the only thing there. So not really a bug, a
shortcoming.
Also it looks there's another bug (stupid one).
The two averaging ti3 files state explicitely
KEYWORD "TARGET_INSTRUMENT"
TARGET_INSTRUMENT "GretagMacbeth i1 Pro"
while look at the resulting file
KEYWORD "TARGET_INSTRUMENT"
TARGET_INSTRUMENT "GretagMacbeth Spectrolino"
Yes, it doesn't go to the trouble of passing a lot of
the keys through. (Sorry, I don't really want to be
the maintainer of "average" in its current form.)
