Dear All,

I seem to have a problem in getting my LCD screen calibrated. I try this on a
Linux system, OpenSUSE11.2 to be precise and the screen in question is that of
a DELL precision M6400. I have downloaded version 1.10 (64-bit). The screen
that I am trying to calibrate is the one of the laptop itself, so not an
external one. The laptop has an NVIDIA Quadro FX 2700M video card and I use
the propriety drivers from NVIDIA.

I use the dispcal command for that: dispcal -v -qh -y l dell_m6400
Then I select the first test and try to adjust the brightness of my screen. In
order to do this, I use the nvidia supplied tool for adjusting the screen
settings. However, as soon as I change any of the settings, ArgyllCMS seems to
be putting things back into their original values and hence I am unable to
make any adjustments. How would I solve this issue?

Thanks for any help,
Gerben Venekamp
