I once ran into similar problems with a garmin GPS not wanting to connect
properly.
Be aware, though, that most of the solutions you can find on the net are pretty
old, and therefore, they might not apply to the
constellation on your specific operating system. There's a lot of different
software stacks involved, and lots of them were changed
drastically in the recent years.
