Hi,
older Color Munki Photo. The first thing I
observed is negative spectral values coming
from i1pro3; as this doesn't make too much
sense, I'm now thinking, there might be a bug
in i1pro3 part of ArgyllCMS.
that's either a bug, or a problem with the black
calibration step. If you calibrate black with
something that is not really black, you will
get -ve values when you measure things darker than that.
The question is: Do negative spectral values
indicate a bug in ArgyllCMS (dispread) or do I
have to assume that this is a defect of
fabrication?
If you suspect the instrument then you are going
to have to test it with X-Rite's software (i.e.
MSWindows or OS X) to be sure.
I still can provide the ti1 and both ti3 files
if that should help.
If you can email me the .ti3 files I will have a look
at them.
Cheers,
Graeme Gill.
