If I remember correctly, I need version 2.5 to support my Spyder X .

    Have you tried it ? (i.e. downloaded DisplayCAL from
    <https://displaycal.net/>
    and run it ? It should offer to download the needed ArgyllCMS
    binaries.

    If you're running on an x86 Linux machine, nothing stops you
    downloading
    the ArgyllCMS binaries directly from the ArgyllCMS website either.

    You aren't limited by whether a distro includes the code or not.
