Hi Graeme

thanks for your reply.
Well I measured the white media support separately and got L 87 a 0 b-2.4.
If I reload the "Auflicht" file in the mesure SW I it shows me same Lab for the
white patch.

If I load the spectral data of the white patch from the "Auflicht" file to the
Measure tool PM5
I get again L87 a0 b-2.4:
0 0 0.000 0.000 0.000 0.000 0.7439 0.7439 0.7417 0.6548 0.6351
0.6466 0.6618 0.6673 0.6655 0.6682 0.6806 0.6899 0.6886 0.6845
 0.6871 0.6927 0.6937 0.6925 0.6947 0.6979 0.7021 0.7009 0.7001
  0.7006 0.6980 0.6950 0.7018 0.7022 0.6958 0.6976 0.7006
0.7010 0.7005 0.7000 0.7000 0.7001 0.7017 0.7018 0.7062 0.7050
 0.7009

Do I load the ti3 data of the white patch in the Measure tool I get L87 a-8 b0:
0.0000 0.0000 0.0000 0.0000 74.390 74.390 74.170 65.480 63.510 64.660 66.180
66.730 66.550 66.820 68.060 68.990 68.860 68.450 68.710 69.270 69.370 69.250
69.470 69.790 70.210 70.090 70.010 2.9437e-308 69.800 69.500 70.180 70.220
69.580 69.760 70.060 70.100 70.050 70.000 70.000 70.010 70.170 70.180 70.620
70.500 70.090

If I use the "Auflicht" data to creat a profile with PM5 I get L87 a 0 b-2.4 as
white point.

Something went wrong but I have no clue where or what.

Regards

Hi,

How are you determining the "real" media white ?

The single white patch in the data set has a value of Lab 85.059164 -8.124163
-0.490875
using D50 illuminant and the 1931 2 degree observer,
while the smoothed profile white point is 86.311126 -8.360063 -0.733073,
a difference of 1.296812 delta E. This seems perfectly normal.

Graeme Gill.
