  I agree that Arachne does not match XP and Firefox. It was never
intended that it should.

  And I agree that I am not an ordinary non-technical user.
Nevertheless, Arachne satisfies most of my internet needs, and I have
other options where Arachne is out of her depth. And that ain't XP. :)
