Hello APTA Oncology members,
On behalf of the APTA Oncology Student and New Professionals Subcommittee
(SNP), my name is Meredith Stutz and I am the Co-Director of Mentorship. I am
reaching out to you all in hopes of seeking clinician volunteers who are
willing to share their clinical decision making and experience to help grow the
future of oncology rehabilitation providers. Starting this year, the SNP is
kickstarting a new initiative – a Case Conference Series – where we hope to
have experienced clinicians present real patient cases to SNP members through a
multimedia presentation. For more details please see the attached form which
provides an outlined format of what we are expecting.
We would love to have cases to present every 2-3 months, but we can’t do this
without your help. Cases can include any oncology diagnosis and involve any
part of the cancer continuum. For our first roll-out, we are looking for the
following patient case ideas:
1. AYA cancer diagnosis
2. Pediatric oncology
3. Managing chronic pain s/p cancer treatments
4. Managing new bone metastases
5. Geriatric oncology (polypharmacy concerns)
